This package combines Lapland’s most iconic experiences—reindeer, huskies, and snowmobiling—with the peace and silence of Tiera Resort.

Days & Activities
Day 1: Arrival and Tiera Atmosphere
Welcome to Tiera Resort! Our driver will meet you at the airport with a name sign. During the transfer (approx. 1–2h depending on the airport), you can already tune into the landscapes of Koillismaa.
Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be welcomed with a Tiera welcome gift waiting in your room. After settling in, you will receive your winter clothing (depending on your arrival time) and enjoy a welcome dinner in our restaurant, serving flavors crafted from local ingredients.
Day 2: Animals of the North – Reindeer and Huskies
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Morning: Reindeer Farm Visit and Sleigh Ride (approx. 2h) The day begins peacefully with an introduction to Lapland’s original inhabitants. We will visit a local reindeer farm to learn about reindeer herding culture and the animals. The excursion culminates in an atmospheric reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest—a silent ride where only the sound of the reindeer bell is heard.

Afternoon: Thrilling Husky Safari (approx. 2.5h) In the afternoon, we pick up the pace. You will meet the eager huskies waiting to run. You will learn the basics of handling the sled, after which we head into the wilderness. The route travels over frozen lakes and forest trails. Each sled is for two people (one driving, one sitting), and you can swap places halfway. Driving time is approx. 1 hour.
Dinner and opportunity to relax in the spa.
Day 3: Active Day – Snowshoeing and Snowmobiling

Morning: Silent Snowshoe Hike (approx. 2h) The morning starts in the spirit of “Silent Luxury.” Our guide will take you on a snowshoe hike into untouched terrain. We move at a calm pace, stop to listen to the silence, and hear stories about the local nature and wildlife. This is the perfect way to experience “Europe’s cleanest air” and see the winter forest up close.

Afternoon: Snowmobile Safari (approx. 3h) In the afternoon, we start the snowmobiles and head deeper into the wilderness. The route takes us to the ridges of Taivalvaara and frozen swamps, offering magnificent scenery inaccessible on foot. The guide ensures safety and route selection. During the trip, we take a break to enjoy warm drinks. (Note: Driver must have a valid driving license).

Day 4: Departure Day

It is time to say goodbye. Upon check-out, you will receive a small farewell gift so that a piece of Tiera Resort travels home with you. Transfer to the airport departs according to your flight schedule.

This is the ultimate escape from the everyday. During the week, you will experience the full spectrum of Lapland’s nature: from the thrill of snowmobiles and huskies to the deep silence of the ice fishing lake and traditional sauna.

Days & Activities
Day 1: Arrival and Tiera Atmosphere
Welcome to Tiera Resort! Our driver will meet you at the airport with a name sign. During the transfer, we leave the city lights behind and move towards the wilderness of Taivalkoski.
Upon arrival at the hotel, a Tiera welcome gift awaits you in your room. After settling in, you will receive your winter clothing and enjoy a welcome dinner where we will go over the adventures of the upcoming week.
Day 2: Culture & Reindeer
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Morning: Reindeer Farm Visit and Sleigh Ride (approx. 3h) We start the week unhurriedly by getting to know the local way of life. We will visit a reindeer farm where you will learn about reindeer herding traditions and feed the animals. The morning culminates in a peaceful reindeer sleigh ride through the snowy forest.

Afternoon: Time Travel to History – Finland’s Oldest Village Shop (approx. 2h) In the afternoon, we take a trip to the village of Taivalkoski. We will visit the historic Jalava Shop, which is the oldest still-operating village shop in Finland. The atmosphere is unique, and at the same time, we will visit the Wartime Heritage Room (museum) connected to it, which tells the history of the area. We will enjoy coffee in a genuine old-time spirit before returning to the hotel.

Day 3: Ice & Huskies
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Morning: Husky Safari (approx. 2.5h) Today is all about speed! We will meet the eager huskies, and you will learn to drive your own dog team. The route traverses varied terrain through lakes and forests. The driving time is approx. 1 hour, and two people share a sled (swapping drivers halfway). The joy of the dogs and the power of the team are an unforgettable experience.
Lunch by an open fire or in a Lappish hut (kota).
Afternoon: Ice Fishing and the Silence of the Ice (approx. 2h) After the huskies, we calm down by the ice. The guide will teach you the secrets of ice fishing: we drill a hole in the thick ice and wait for a catch in complete silence. This is “meditation, Northern style.” Even if the fish aren’t biting, hot juice and the vastness of the ice make the moment perfect.

Day 4: Engines & Traditions
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Morning: Snowmobile Safari (approx. 3–4h) We start the snowmobiles and head deeper into the Taivalkoski wilderness. The route takes us over ridges and across swamps, offering magnificent scenery. This is the best way to see the vastness of the area. (Note: Driver must have a valid driving license).
Lunch during the excursion.
Afternoon: Baking Moment in a Heritage Cottage (approx. 2h) To balance the fast-paced morning, we move to an atmospheric heritage cottage. We will learn to bake traditional northern pastries (e.g., flatbread or “kampanisu” pastries) in an authentic wood-fired oven. The smell of fresh bread and the warmth crown the day.

Day 5: Active Nature & Auroras
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Morning: Winter Sports at Taivalvaara (approx. 3h) Tiera Resort is located right next to Taivalvaara. In the morning, you can choose your activity: try cross-country skiing on groomed tracks or downhill skiing on the slopes of Taivalvaara. The guide will help with equipment and provide instruction if needed.

Afternoon: Snowshoe Hike (approx. 2h) After lunch, led by a guide, we go snowshoeing into the untouched forest. We move calmly and examine animal tracks.
Evening: Aurora Hunting (approx. 3h) After dinner, when darkness falls, we head out to search for Northern Lights by car or sleigh to a “Dark Sky Zone,” far from light pollution. If the sky is clear, the probability of seeing the “Fox Fires” is high. Led by the guide, we enjoy hot drinks and hope the sky catches fire.
Day 6: Wellness & Fire
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Morning: Sauna World and Ice Swimming (approx. 3h) The last full day is dedicated to recovery. You have a private session in the Sauna World. Try different saunas, and the bravest can take a dip in the icy water—ice swimming is an extreme experience that gets the blood circulating and clears the mind.
Light lunch during the sauna session or at the hotel.
Afternoon: Free time to pack or do some last-minute shopping.
Evening: Farewell Dinner & Campfire We enjoy a festive farewell dinner. To end the evening, we gather outside for a campfire experience by an open fire. We recap the week’s events, roast marshmallows or sausages, and enjoy the northern starry sky one last time.
Day 7: Departure Day
Breakfast at the restaurant.
Check-out and presentation of the farewell gift. Transfer to the airport departs according to your schedule. You are now part of the Tiera story.
General Information
Detailed daily itinerary will be provided upon arrival. Tiera Resort will keep right to change the itinerary due to weather conditions.
All the activities are group trips with English-speaking guide, and start with full safety instructions.
Snowmobile safaris are based on 2 persons sharing one snowmobile.
If there is a party with an uneven number of travelers, everyone will still be on shared snowmobiles, unless single drive supplement is paid. (100€/person for max. 3h tours, 200€/person for 4–6 h tours)
Minimum age of 18 years and a valid B class driving license is required to drive a snowmobile during activities. Self-liability fee (own risk) is 1000 €/snowmobile in case of an accident.
During snowmobile tours children under 15 years are sitting in a sleigh.
During Husky Safari, the guests are driving the husky sleds by themselves and normally two persons are sharing one husky team (with switching driver on half way).
Please note that the above itinerary is subject to change at the discretion of the activity providers for reasons of safety or other unforeseen circumstances. Any alternative arrangements will be made so that they are as similar to the original program as possible.
20% deposit is charged at the time of booking.
The remaining 80% will be charged automatically 90 days before arrival.
Each paid deposit is non-refundable.
